Small kitchens · measure first

Will it fit? Start with your measurements.

Compare them with the dimensions the maker published. Not a review site and not a ranking: an arithmetic answer to one question, built from figures that are quoted rather than gathered.

Every one of them publishes its own dimensions. Type a width: anything wider than your drawer is out before you measure anything else.

How this site answers the question.

Quoted, dated, and compared as printed.

Every dimension here is quoted from the page that publishes it — the maker’s own page where there is one, otherwise a named seller’s listing — with the date it was checked, so you can read the same sentence yourself. Where a maker states a minimum drawer height, that number is used exactly as printed, with nothing added and nothing shaved off. Your three measurements are compared against those figures and nothing else: a geometric comparison, not a promise that the drawer will close.

How figures get onto this site

Read a comparison.

Where several models are worth reading side by side, the comparison gets a page of its own: narrow drawer organizers by listed width, DrawerStore Bamboo vs. Stone, organizers for a drawer about 5 inches wide, and organizers for a drawer 7 to 9 inches wide, and organizers for a drawer 13½ to 22½ inches wide. Each works from published dimensions only and says which models it rules out, and why.

Nothing here has been tested by hand, so you will not find a ranking, a best pick, a price, a rating or a stock figure anywhere on this site. A paid link is labeled where it appears, and it never changes the comparison printed above it.

Small-Kitchen Guides

Read a worked example.

Four pages take a single published figure apart and follow it to an answer, using the records on this site and the pages those records are quoted from.

Your kitchen notebook

Don’t measure the same drawer twice.

Save its dimensions here, then open them when you’re comparing an organizer.

Your saved spaces

Saved in this browser. Your measurements are not synced or backed up. Clearing site data may remove them.

Keep the measurements handy.

Use inches and decimals. Measure the usable inside space, not the front of the drawer. Product checks are a separate step.
