Two compact tiered organizers, not one in two colours

Joseph Joseph lists the Bamboo Compact (SKU 85168) and the Compact Tiered in Stone (SKU 8500001) with different bodies and different minimum drawer heights. Treating them as colour variants would hide a requirement that can rule one of them out of a drawer that takes the other.

Both bodies are about 5 in wide and 2½ in tall, so a footprint check alone would rate them alike. The stated minimum drawer height differs by roughly a quarter inch, and the Stone model needs the taller drawer. Sources: the manufacturer’s US product pages, read 2026-09-08.

What the difference means in a real drawer

A drawer with 3.3 in of clear height meets the Bamboo Compact’s stated minimum but not the Stone model’s. A drawer with 3 in meets neither. The size check compares your raw measured height with each model’s stated minimum and shows the shortfall in inches.
